All our nannies are super nannies

Poppetts is the first choice for many of Auckland’s nannies and childcare workers. We have literally hundreds of nannies registered with us who return to Poppetts again and again over the years because of the professional yet friendly service we provide. Poppetts takes a different approach to many agencies as we see you as our clients as well; after all, if it wasn’t for all the fabulous nannies that represent us, we wouldn’t be around!

We will help you hone you interviewing skills, prepare your CV’s, refer positions to you that interest you, refer you to families only after your permission and continue our relationship with you long after placement. Our offices are always open to nannies who want us to look over contracts, discuss employment issues, introduce us to their charges or simply come in to say hi.

AUAPAIR

NANNY
Being a permanent nanny means that you are an employee of the family or families you work for and that they are your employer; Poppetts role is to represent you as your agent. Permanent nannies can work full-time or part-time, all over Auckland. Regardless of hours worked all permanent nannies are classified as employees – not self employed contractors.

TEMPORARY /INTERIM CARE
Many of our nannies register with us for temporary work for various reasons.
You must have your own vehicle, be willing to travel and be available at short notice. It is essential that you have several years’ childcare experience as you are constantly entering new environments. You must meet all our minimum criteria to work as a temp.

NANNY PLUS 1
Are you an experienced nanny who is now a mum of one? Contact us for this new concept that gives you the best of both worlds – being employed and caring for your own child.

HOME EDUCATOR
Do you want to care for children in your own home? Do you want to care for your own children while still earning an income? If you and your house met the criteria set by the Ministry of Education then this option is a win: win for all.

SUPERSITTERS
Babysitting is an evening service, caring for children either in the family home, or at any of Auckland’s major hotels.

We have Super Sitters who work as teachers, day care workers, nurses or who are full time mums during the day. You must still meet all our minimum criteria to work as a Super Sitter.

If you can make yourself available to us for a minimum of six months and at least one Saturday night every three weeks, then we would love to hear from you, however due to the popular nature of our babysitting service we are not always recruiting.

CONTRACTS AND PAYROLL
These are areas where it pays to get correct advice. Our years of experience dealing with nannies plus our background in Human Resource management have made us experts in this area. As members of The EMA we can access up to date information on employment related matters at short notice and at no cost to nannies.

Poppetts is able to provide employment contracts and job descriptions specifically designed for the nanny employment situation. Through our HomePAYE service we can administer your payroll. We are also able to administer IR56 tax payments if you are employed by 2 or more families and fit the criteria.
